Multiple flags on galleys corner roundabout and along B108

Reported via mobile in the Flyposting (NH) category anonymously at 12:17, Tue 28 October 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8347695.

So many flags on galleys corner roundabout and heading along Millennium way to Braintree Village. This is a notorious area for vehicle accidents as do busy. Additionally roadworks are also taking place on the new build area. If a flag came loose (current high winds) it could block a vehicle/s view and cause a significant and serious accident. I think all flags should be removed for public safety.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways about flags.

We have passed this to one of our local inspectors to confirm that this is on our property. Safety is our priority and we do all we can to protect those who use our roads. Items such as flags attached to a bridge / streetlights could pose a danger to motorists on the road below and so may need to be removed for safety reasons.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
