Multiple lights not working

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8326183.

The stretch of the M62 about a mile long between Oakwell and Hunsworth between junctions 27 and 26 has no functioning lights and has been like this for several weeks. The lights were installed for safety reasons and it is dangerous to leave them in a non-functioning state. Given that we are approaching winter and that the roads are going to be spending more time in darkness, don't you think you should be doing something about fixing non working lights? You are creating a hazard by doing nothing about it.

  • Thank you for making your report. We've checked and can confirm the lights at this location are being affected by the ongoing pillar renewal works on the M62 junction 25-28 westbound and eastbound.

    Work began in July and is due to finfish at the end of November.

    Although we always aim to complete work as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
