Central reservation barrier missing
Reported via mobile in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 11:25, Tue 21 October 2025
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8321240.
Following an accident in July 2025 where some of the barriers were smashed into the barriers still need to be replaced and not just by traffic cones.
I have reported this already afew days ago. The reply I received said that there isn’t a barrier at the location highlighted in the report but the damaged pedestrian guard rail by Boundstone bridge footbridge will be repaired in December.
I have sent photos of what I’m reporting this time. The barriers I’m reporting are near to the bridge but its the central reservation barriers not pedestrian guard rail by the bridge.
Thanks

Thank you for your further report and we're sorry for any misunderstanding.
We can confirm that we're aware of the damage to this central reserve pedestrian guard rail, which is installed to deter pedestrians from crossing the carriageway and to use the footbridge.
As advised replacement of this guard rail is underway via our damage to network asset process. As the rail has to be manufactured as a bespoke item, replacement isn't anticipated until December.
In the meantime the location is monitored via our safety inspection team.
Kind regards
National Highways
