St Georges cross screwed onto bridge

There is a large st Georges cross that has been screwed to the bridge crossing the A26 at Itford. I believe it’s primarily there to intimidate and convey an extremely right wing veiwpoint which is not shared by the local population. It is also a dangerous distraction to drivers and potentially dangerous should it come loose.

    We have passed this to one of our local inspectors to confirm that this is on our property. Safety is our priority and we do all we can to protect those who use our roads. Items such as flags attached to a bridge could pose a danger to motorists on the road below and so may need to be removed for safety reasons.
