Overgrown shrubs obstruting view into the juntion

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 15:19, Fri 3 October 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8248827.

At the junction of the A47 off-slip onto the A146, visibility to the right is severely restricted, particularly at the traffic signals. This poses a significant safety risk to drivers, especially in situations where a vehicle runs a red light and obstructs the view of oncoming traffic or emergency vehicles.

There have already been multiple accidents at this location, and the risk of further incidents remains high. These collisions could be reduced – and potentially prevented – if the vegetation along the off-slip were cut back and removed to improve sightlines. It only a matter of time for another serious or even fatal collsion due to poir visablity. This has been reported months ago with out any action. To close one lane on the A146 under the underpass during working hours avoiding rush hour would not cause much incovenice to road user. This does not fall under council road network.
