Large A frame obstructing footway

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8246199.

This isn't really abandoned, but there isn't an option to report this for what it is. A temporary sign A frame has recently been put up. But the genius who put it there has filled the width of the footway with it, so now pedestrians have to step out into the road. There is a perfectly good bit of grass on the other side of the crash barrier where it could be put....

  • Thank you for your report. Our local inspector has attended the site and repositioned the A frame over the barrier to restore the footpath to a safe condition for pedestrian use. We were able to identify the traffic management company responsible based on the equipment present. Our team has contacted them directly to request the removal of the A-frame if it is no longer in use. If the frame is still required at this location, we have asked that it be placed in a safe position to ensure the footway can still be used. We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
