Flooded underpass

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8209710.

Flooded walkway / cycleway under A2, which prevents wheelchair users from accessing local facilities. Also, schoolchildren have been seen crossing the A2 because they can’t wade through the flooded underpass. This is the only means of access across the A2 from North & South Whitfield.

    Our team visited the site on 3 October 2025 to assess the issue. During the inspection, there were no signs of flooding, and both ACO drains at the subway entrances were found to be clear and unobstructed. At present, no immediate action is required.

    We will continue to monitor the location as part of our routine inspections and will initiate remedial work if necessary.
