Uneven surface. Hidden dips

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 10:41, Fri 19 September 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8186481.

The road surface as you go under the bridge when travelling along the A3 southbound and northbound. Close to Where it goes from 70 to 50mph if you’re coming south bound.

The road surface has always had a bit of a dip there but it’s gotten a lot worse in the past year. I drive both a van and a car and it’s bad in both vehicles even when travelling under the speed limit but in my van it bottoms the suspension and literally causes my van to bounce and fight for control.

I’ve seen multiple vans have the back end of their vehicles lose control because of the hidden dips and almost cause accidents. It’s an accident waiting to happen and may be a sign of a worse problem like the ground underneath giving way. This needs to be looked into ASAP.
