Updates

  • Thank you for making your report.

We've checked and can confirm the answers to your queries below : - The boundary fence is the responsibility of the adjacent landowner.

Sweeping and cleaning of the A66 is the responsibility of the local authority which in this location would be North Yorkshire Council who can be contacted on their website https://www.northyorks.gov.uk/ .

There may be sections where there is vegetation growing in the centre which we will deal with when we are next in to carry out cyclic maintenance.

With regards to any barrier damage, we will also fix this in the appropriate timescale if the damage is on our asset.

There is a scheme currently on the ground in this area so we believe you may be referring to that signage, but that needs to be there for when the signage is in use at night.

With regards to flooding, we have inspectors who patrol the network who will call in any flooding issues and we will react to this and try and resolve.

Although we always aim to complete any repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

    Kind regards

  • Stockton council do not accept the clean the central reservation

You need to explain to them there responsibility or take it off the council for failure to do any work

I know national highways do the best to resolve problems. Unlike the local authorities who do nothing
