Pothole

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8161709.

One large (~60cm) pothole approx 90/6 southbound with a further two / three closer to the services. All in lane one, the largest being on the nearside, close to the nearside track of vehicles. This is a serious danger to motorcyclists, particularly in the dark as this section of the M5 is unlit.

    We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect. We know that a damaged road surface can, on occasion, be potentially dangerous and we’ve processes in place to ensure any hazardous defects are repaired quickly.
