Flags on foot bridges over M1

Various flags have been attached to the foot bridges over the M1 between Junctions 31 and approximately Junction 34, southbound. These are a potential danger to traffic if one of them becomes detached and falls onto a vehicle windscreen below.

    We have passed this to one of our local inspectors to confirm that this is on our property. Safety is our priority and we do all we can to protect those who use our roads. Items such as flags attached to a bridge could pose a danger to motorists on the road below and so may need to be removed for safety reasons.
