Vegetation is covering the "refuge strip" (between the kerb and the white lines and starting to encroach on the carriageway. dagerous for pedestrians and cyclists.

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category by Colin Rabjohn at 19:00, Sat 6 September 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8129283.

A group of Maidwell residents litter pick A14 - J2 slip roads on a monthly basis (700 bags since April 2021) . The vegetation is now so overgrown that in parts, there is no refuge strip between the kerb and the carriageway. This makes it dangerous for us and also obscures visibility for drivers. If the vegetation is not cut back this autumn, it will definitely be over the carriageway next year. Needs a tractor and flail please. I am fairly confident that the hedges have not been trimmed since we started litter picking in 2021. Thanks you
