M1 storm drains need cleaning

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8121897.

The large storm drains at the nearside and the concrete channel drains at the central reservation need clearing of massive accumulated silt and detritus, left uncleared for many many years. Regardless that your records apparently show this was done in 2024, it was not and many sections of this part of the M1 the work on the drains and channels was inexplicably missed.

    If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
