Traffic light sequence on great west road

The current setup leads to long queues and frequent standstills, disrupting the flow of traffic. This route is a vital ambulance corridor to West Middlesex Hospital, yet the disjointed light sequencing causes unnecessary congestion and delays. It is crucial that traffic on the main road is prioritised, as the volume on side roads is considerably lower and does not warrant such disruption

The location concerns the main traffic lights on the junction of the A4 and Ealing Road (TW8). The sequence of the traffic lights needs to be amended as there are huge volumes of traffic that (because the green light is not on for long enough) access the A4 West via narrow and small residential road (Layton Road). We have cars and trucks and lorries speeding down the road and more traffic access the A4 West via this road, than via the Ealing Road junction. It is dangerous and sadly we have had 2 cats who have been killed (by speeding cars - the second one this week).
All I ask is that the green light is maintained for about 3 seconds more - at present only 3-4 cars can go on the green light and often many go through the red light.
It surely is not difficult to understand or remedy.

The sequence of these lights is not efficient, efective and leads to a huge number of cars speeding down a local road (Layton Road) to access the A4 as a short cut. Cars are mounting the pavement, which is dangerous and a risk. The "greeen light" needs to be at least 3 seconds longer.
