Temporary traffic lights not working

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 07:36, Tue 2 September 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8106182.

Traffic lights not changing for all directions creating queues and potential hazard.

Updates

  • The temporary traffic lights are out of sync with the other working traffic lights on the roundabout. Causing huge delays for those exiting the south bound junction of the M5 & those leaving Weston-super-Mare & surrounding junctions. This is only set to get worse with the return of schools & increasing the risk of a serious accident with traffic building up on the M5 southbound.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways.

The information you provided around the operation of the traffic lights has been passed to our technical team to review our data.

We aim to keep the traffic flowing as smoothly as possible for all directions and recognise that on occasions we might need to make changes.

If we find that any changes are due here, we'll undertake those once we've established a suitable solution.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
