Uneven surface - Ridging across the road.
Reported via desktop in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 15:31, Mon 1 September 2025
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8103785.
On the M25 clockwise just before the Cobham services there is a raised ridging across the road. I ride a motorcycle and this is like hitting a sleeping policeman at 60mph. It has thrown me in to my tank causing injury. I have also driven a car across it at 40mph and it is very obvious. It is present across multiple lanes, looking at the map it is possible it is where there is a bridge section with a road running underneath. It has either appeared in the last two weeks or has got progressively worse.

This is not on the M25, it is on Cobham Road between Fetcham and Stoke D’abernon as it crosses over the M25.
It is now serious in that whenever I cross over the bridge, no matter how slowly I go, the front of my car hits the ground and is causing damage to the front end.
Can it be repaired urgently please ?,
Can you also tell me how to claim for damage this road is causing to my car.

As you are aware, the bridge over the M25 on the Cobham Road is in dangerous condition for road users who may be unaware that the construction joint at the Stoke d'Abernon end has become (in effect) an unmarked speed hump. This issue has existed for some years and we had hoped that it would be resolved by recent maintenance works to the bridge. It is now even worse than it was before that work was implemented. I can see that complaints have been made to Surrey County Council, however, you appear to be unable or unwilling to take corrective actions. Regular road users know that without such action being successfully undertaken, there is a high level of risk of a major accident happening at this location, involving vehicular traffic, motorcycles, bicycles or between these modes of transport. The road cannot simply be left as it is and improved signage would only partially offset this risk. You would only need to drive along this stretch of road once in a domestic vehicle to appreciate the high level of this risk. I urge you to take up this matter as appropriate to ensure that effective & sustainable remedial actions are undertaken.
