I witnessed this damage yesterday and reported it to the Parish Clerk. She has reported it. I said I'd report it too as it's so dangerous. Yesterday (31 August) I walked through the M5 subway in Willand, then turned left to follow the lane which comes out in Dean Hill Road. A short distance from the houses at the 2 Sisters side of the subway, just beyond the conker trees on the left, I observed a large hole in the fence which acts as a barrier between the road verge and the M5. A careful inspection confirmed that the hole poses a HIGH RISK OF DANGER TO LIFE as a dog, child, anyone or anything has unrestricted access to the M5 embankment, with traffic flying along at breakneck speeds immediately below. I took a photo. I have not walked that way for weeks so I've no idea if the damage is new or old but it doesn't alter the fact that the hole needs to be TEMPORARILY REPAIRED IMMEDIATELY pending a final repair as soon as possible.

Thank you for making your report. We've asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.
If any work is needed, they'll arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we'll continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
Kind regards
