Greenbank Way residents are concerned at fire risk

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category by Cllr Trefor Hogg at 22:11, Sat 30 August 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8096663.

The vegetation between the motorway and the properties has become very overgrown and residents are concerned at the fire risk - especially following a fire nearby.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report concerning vegetation. We have passed your report on to the relevant department who will investigate your concerns.

The M3 was last surveyed 2024-25 and no concerns were raised for any trees nearby. There are no ash dieback or overhang plots noted either, so currently no works are expected here.

We will continue to monitor this and will arrange any work if the situation changes. If you require any further update on this issue our Customer Contact Centre is available 24 hours a day at:

    • 0300 123 5000
