Blocked Drains

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8094850.

Properties 87, 89 and 91 were flooded on Friday 29th August due got the downpour of heavy rain. The drains in the carriageway are blocked causing flooding of the road which in turn with cars driving too fast for the conditions caused rain water to overspill onto the Footway and subsequently underneath our front doors. This always happens when there is a very heavy downpour of rain.

    If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
