Subsiding road surface

Lane 1 of the A428 East bound has severe undulations which have been getting worse in recent weeks. The large dips can catch a driver by surprise and cars are often swerving to avoid them at last minute.

  • Thank you for making your report regarding the road surface condition on the A428 at Madingley. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.

    If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen.

    Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
