M1 North Jct 21a-22 Sign illegible

Reported via mobile in the Damage to Sign (NH) category anonymously at 16:40, Mon 25 August 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8070731.

On the M1 northbound, on approach to junction 22, one of the informational signs has become very worn out and is now in need of replacement. Appears to have started becoming worn out from 2020 onwards.

The information sign "For the North West M6 Burton Stoke A50" etc the sign has started peeling away and is no longer easily legible. A new sign may benefit from the A50 text being on a green background for ease of recognising the primary status of the A50.

The sign is located at marker post 166.1 on approach to junction 22. What 3 Words ///shook.overlaid.scarcely
