M1 South Jct 22 approach signs dirty

Reported via mobile in the Sign Obscured (NH) category anonymously at 16:21, Mon 25 August 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8070674.

On the M1 southbound on approach to junction 22, the junction approach signs are dirty and the sign faces are in need of cleaning.

The signs are not easily legible during the day, and at night they have a lot of bright and dark spots at the moment, so potentially is causing distraction. They have been slowly becoming more dirty over a course of years.

This is the 1m approach sign at marker post 170.7, the 1/2m approach at point 169.9, and the exit sign at 169.2.
