Overgrown Vegetation

Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 14:36, Thu 21 August 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8056923.

It is in regards to overgrown trees and hedges that run along the back of my garden and fence, they are now becoming a very big hinderance, I have copious amounts of tree fall, that being leaves, branches, over hanging branches and red currant berries which also stain any clothing I hang on my line during certain seasons, and just cause damage and the ability to not enjoy one side of my garden, also the amount of light I receive on one side of my garden which is currently non existent, it’s got to a point where I feel this needs to be looked at and would urge you to look at how much this takes away any enjoyment we get in our gardens, and the extra work we have to do to tidy and keep on top of this ourselves, I am currently aware behind my garden fence there is a public path which is owned by the council and to my knowledge should be up-kept and looked after by the council, it is over grown and in my opinion quite dangerous, with over hanging as you walk through, not to mention how dark and under cover it is which poses a danger issue, and makes anyone quite vulnerable that walks down there in the evening, and I don’t think anyone should feel like that in our village.
