Overgrown culvert, flood prevention to properties

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 18:35, Tue 19 August 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8048054.

Culvert overgrown and has not been maintained this year as previously - to be regularly maintained due to flood area of a number of homes. Several properties at risk of flooding and culvert needs to be maintained (flood piping also exists and area needs to be clear)- all shrubbery to be removed and not left to flow with water through the culvert system as this would cause blockages under the A46 and further downstream. A concrete race exists at the base of the culvert and should be free of shrubbery to allow free flowing of water. Area of concern was part of a major flood alleviation scheme following 2007 floods. Thank you. Worcestershire County Council report it says it’s responsibility of Highways.
