Footpath crossing the shell garage entrance

Reported via desktop in the Pavement/footpath/cycleway/bridleway issue (NH) category anonymously at 14:03, Thu 14 August 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8025515.

Yesterday evening at around 20.20 hours a small blue car was forced into the garage at speed by a Range Rover with his horn blasting on the inside line of the roundabout, this could have been fatal for us walking along the footpath by the shell garage if we had been crossing the garage entrance which we were about to do. There are several things that should be addressed here. 1. There needs a barrier installed on this section towards the housing estate as this footpath is in regular use by mothers and children from the estate. 2. I believe that on this occasion, and it happens on many occasions from every directional use of the roundabout that white line indicators and directional arrows should be in place. Both these suggestions are for Safety of all users around this roundabout, as a Parish Cllr for Buckden and Chair of our Highways group myself and the district Cllr will raise these concerns at SAG with AT In the mean time please take a look at these possible life threatening situations.
