Uneven surface

There has always been a bad bump at the start and finish of the bridge The latest road works replacing the surface has made the bumps worse So much so if you care to look it has a lot of tyre marks from probably vehicles leaving the road and landing This you couldn’t script as at this moment the road is still being closed of a night for the surface replacement

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways to report the quality of the resurfacing by the River Ancholme bridge on M180. This site team have investigated and has identified the issue as a defect which should be rectified prior to the works being completed.

    Although we always aim to resolve the defect as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
