There is so many abandoned Metal Sign Frames ,plastic roadworks barriet fencing & lets not talk about the numbers of big Orange Plastic cones just left strewn everywhere in the environment that National Highways are totally responsible for that are not being reused but abandoned ( being left in overgrown vegetation never to be found again ( a trip hazard) & all at Taxpayers expense who fund National Highways & the CEO's ( Mr.Nick Harris's £ 400,000 + Salary,yes £400,000+ Salary.

Large plastic fencing barriers,big pladtic cones & their big black bases strew all around this corner section.Does nobody inspect the site after any repairs are completed. ?All over the country this is replicated ,vitually every roundabout ,central rsservation etc. is littered in Plastic cones,barriers & large expensive discarded metal frames that get overgrown in vegetation never to be reused ,polluting the environment & all at taxpayers expense yet again.Writing to my MP & the D.F.T. about it .Too much unaccountable waste.

Thank you for your report. We appreciate and share your concerns and frustrations with the large number of frames and associated temporary traffic management that remain on our roads. Please be assured we’re committed to reducing the amount of redundant equipment across our roads and we continue to review the A27 and all our roads, when equipment is reported to our traffic management partners for removal. There are occasions when equipment is required to remain in situ for future use or safety reasons, and we can’t comment on how equipment removal left behind on our roads left from works/diversions undertaken by local authority highways and statutory undertakers is managed. We will arrange for one of our local inspectors to review Stockbridge roundabout to identify any redundant equipment.
