A40 rockfall roadworks

How are these works already taken well over a year to no avail! I don't accept the rubbish of planning, it should be a simple case of remove the rockfall, reopen the lane and REclose it when your actually ready to do the long term works to long term make the area safer in the long run. These works should be an easy fix have caused countless delays on a daily basis even at off peak times and it is utterly unacceptable for a simple task taking forever and any assessment and health and safety is very overrated and exaggerated to excuse taking far longer than is acceptable for it. I'm sorry to sound off but this is really annoying and I will not accept excuses! I feel you are just doing it on purpose to wind it up when other countries can build entire roads in less than half the time it takes to clear a few square metres of rockfall from the road!
