Blocked Drain

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/drainage (NH) category anonymously at 10:23, Thu 7 August 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7991659.

Two highway drains situated slightly lower than the main carriageway are currently blocked and require urgent attention. These drains are crucial for managing rain and surface water runoff in an area highly susceptible to flooding. Although they are located close to a private dwelling, they are not private drains and are the responsibility of the highways authority. Due to their location, they are often missed during routine maintenance. In poor weather, this leads to significant water buildup, posing an increased risk of flooding to our property and creating a hazardous situations.
