Pothole and no road markings at junction

Reported via desktop in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 09:20, Tue 5 August 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7980469.

At the point of join between Salvington Hill and the A27 Arundel Road a pothole has been forming for some time and is an inconvenience to 4 wheeled road users and a positive hazard to any on 2 or 3 wheels. It is so bad people are positioning themselves to avoid it, to the inconvenience of other junction users. The surface breaking up has also resulted in the loss of the Stop line for the junction. The loss of markings plus the extended pothole means an increasing number of vehicles are intruding in to the running line of the A27 Eastbound because of the poor visibility, poor surface to pull away on and lack of markings when exiting Salvington Hill to turn Westwards. This has been developing for some months, but is getting seriously worse.
