Noise from road surface

We live at RG24 7JB backing on to the motorway. All day we have heard regular noises which seem to stem from someone driving over something broken on the road surface. Sounds like cars backfiring but has happened hundreds of times today seemingly from same place so cannot be this

    We've checked the M3 at location given and no noticeable defects observed at location given. We think this may relate to local authority road A30 close to Crabbtree Way. Can you please progress this to Basingstoke and Deane local authority.
