Traffic Lights and Pole Missing

The traffic light that is based on roundabout island is absent, There used to be one based here. This is from the A404 from Marlow onto the Handy Cross roundabout. I have seen a few users mistake the next set of traffic lights that are on a different signal and almost causing collisions. There are still two present on to the left and right side of the road but not across and onto the roundabout.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.
Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.

Thank you for making your report. I completely understand how worrying and confusing the situation at the Handy Cross roundabout must be, especially with the potential risk to road users. I am really sorry for any concern or inconvenience this has caused.
We are aware that the pole and signal on the island are currently missing. Unfortunately, there was a recent incident which completely demolished the pole. During our investigations, a gas pipe was discovered beneath the roundabout, and this has understandably delayed any repair works while further checks are carried out.
At the moment, we are unable to proceed with installing a new pole until the investigation is fully complete. This is to ensure the safety of everyone involved and to determine whether any other changes are needed before we move forward.
A site visit has been arranged for 12 August. This visit will help us better understand the full scope of the issue and allow us to plan the next steps.
We really appreciate your patience while we work through this and I want to assure you that restoring the signal safely and as soon as possible is a priority for us.
