Dip/channel in road not far off the Boundary Lane Roundabout.
Reported via mobile in the Pothole (NH) category anonymously at 10:42, Sat 2 August 2025
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7968676.
Dip/channel in the road, seems to stretch the width of the eastbound carriageway, however the it has been getting progressively worse over the past month or so. Possibly as a result of roadworks, as you can see on Google Earth where the line is that the dip is forming from.

Thank you for making your report.
I'm really sorry to hear about the dip you're experiencing in the eastbound carriageway. I completely understand how frustrating it must be, especially as it seems to be getting worse over time.
You're absolutely right that there's a cross trench in the road on the eastbound departure from the roundabout at Boundary Lane. The good news is that this section is scheduled for resurfacing, which should resolve the issue. The works are due to begin in September and will include both eastbound lanes, so it should all be picked up as part of that programme.
While this hasn’t specifically been flagged as a drainage defect, we do appreciate you highlighting the concern, and I’ll make sure your feedback is shared with the team overseeing the works.
Thanks again for taking the time to let us know.
Kind regards National Highways
