Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways to report a safety issue where trees are being removed on the A66.

We take safety seriously and will use traffic management systems to keep our customers safe while we carry out works close to the road network. Our environment team have recently been in touch with landowners in the area and made them aware of which trees they’re responsible for maintaining along the A66. We believe the trees reported were being removed by the relevant landowner. They have not been removed by ourselves.

State changed to: not the council's responsibility
