Traffic light sequence across the whole of the A335 Leigh Road junction with the M3 (J13) is defective

Reported via desktop in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 12:23, Sunday 20 July 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7904724.

The traffic light sequence appears to have been set to a default, so is changing every few seconds, regardless of the traffic flow, causing chaos and long queues on the M3 northbound off slip, the A335 and adjoining roads, particularly Oakmount Road. In particular, the traffic signals at the badly designed entry/exit to the Premier Inn are being triggered without any vehicles being present.

Please fix it as a priority.

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways.

The information you provided around the operation of the traffic lights has been passed to our technical team to review our data.

We aim to keep the traffic flowing as smoothly as possible for all directions and recognise that on occasions we might need to make changes.
