Obstruction on Right of Way Nr Tathall End, Hanslope BW 68 on National Highways Land by M1 Underpass
Following a report from a member of the public regarding the location of an old wooden farm trailer, which has been left abandoned along with some fencing/wooden materials in the M1 underpass ( see location maps below) for some years. In recent weeks, the trailer has recently been moved to block the right of way, Hanslope Bridleway No. 68, and as a responsible local authority we request that this obstruction is now removed, especially after the recent report from the BHS of a horse being injured when passing this obstruction.
We are not aware of any farmers who have an interest in this trailer, and as this is on National Highways Land, and under Section 143 of the Highways Act, we must ask if you as landowner can please remove the obstruction. We wanted to make you aware of this issue at this stage and we would be happy to discuss with yourselves how best to resolve this. Please see photographs attached.
