Uneven & significant road damage

Uneven road surface A303 Eastbound just after A338/A346 slip road off. Considered larger than a typical pothole & represents significant road damage that can pose a hazard to motorists who swerve to prevent causing damage to vehicles. Reported months ago & substantially worsened since.

    We’ve passed your concerns to our maintenance team for further investigation.

    We carry out frequent safety patrols to monitor the condition of the road. Any potholes or defects we find are recorded. Repairs are then prioritised based on the severity of the defect. We know that a damaged road surface can, on occasion, be potentially dangerous and we’ve processes in place to ensure any hazardous defects are repaired quickly.
