Exiting Motorway at Junction 10, where the speed limit shifted from 50 mph to 30 mph. They were unable to see the sign or roadworks due to bright LED lights and felt that the sudden change in speed limit, followed closely by a speed camera, did not give drivers enough time to adjust, especially with the distractions from the lights.

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7864854.

I was on the motorway and exited at Junction 10, where the speed limit changed from 50 mph to 30 mph. Unfortunately, I could not see the sign or the roadworks due to the overwhelming brightness of the LED lights. Additionally, the transition from 50 mph to 30 mph, followed immediately by a speed camera at the junction, does not provide enough time for drivers to adjust their speed accordingly and safety, especially with the bright lights distracting them.

Updates

  • Exit areas after traffic lights NEED CROSS HATCHING LINES AND CAMERAS PLUS FINES for those who block exit areas. Am sure if above where installed/ painted traffic flow could be greatly improved OVERNIGHT. At present M25 Jct 10 A3 to RHS WISLEY AREA is just a FREE FOR ALL when driving.
