Structural damage of the bridge

Reported via mobile in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 22:21, Thu 10 July 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7859839.

There is excessive spalling on the central pier of this bridge over the m6 that can be seen from the m6 north bound (I am unsure if there is additional weathering on the southbound side) resulting in several exposed bars of reinforcement of the pier. I do not drive this way often and so I’m not sure how long this has been like this but as spalling is typically seen from weathering it has likely developed over many years. There looked to be minimal corrosion on the reinforcement, however the majorly of both corners are missing.
