The A120 from Harwich to Primrose Lane Ramsey
Reported via desktop in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 18:28, Wed 9 July 2025
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7835213.
There is an abundance along the above route of overgrown vegetation which has grown to over the edge of the road edge, both kerb and top of lorry height and I have witnesssed both cars and lorries drive closer to the middle of the road than necessary to avoid branches etc scratching the sides of cars and liveried lorries. This action does also reduce the gap between cars and lorries driving along this road.. I have also followed a tuck and trailer that having driven under overhanging vegetation has let debris fall upon my screen. This was identfied as a potential issue by myself a few years ago and thinking it would be resolved I believe now is the time to report incase nothing is being planned to resolve the issue
Abundance of vegetation growing out of drains along this route. This actually together with other debris extends as an issue from Harwich all the way to the roundabout at Horsley Cross
Signs complety obscured unless alongside
Ironically the only clearance of vegetation has been due to the instalation of the new average speed cameras and for the possible building of a rounabout to access a new housing project (although only the clearance of vegetation either side of the road has happend so far).
