Gravel on the road

Reported via mobile in the Road surface (NH) category anonymously at 10:28, Tue 8 July 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7826093.

192 Middleton Road, Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth NR31 7PX. Roundabout known as Teacup Island. While traveling from James Paget Way (Lowestoft road) towards Great Yarmouth, I was riding in the right-hand lane intending to go straight through the roundabout. As I entered the roundabout, my motorcycle's rear wheel suddenly lost traction due to a significant amount of loose gravel scattered across the road surface. This unexpected hazard caused me to lose control, resulting in a crash that threw me and my motorcycle to the ground. I slid across the road and came to rest at the edge of the roundabout. Thankfully, no other vehicles were directly behind, alongside me or going around the roundabout at the time, otherwise the consequences could have been far more severe.
