M27 Jct 5 signage damaged

Reported via mobile in the Damage to Sign (NH) category anonymously at 17:00, Monday 7 July 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7822806.

On the M27 junction 5 roundabout for the Stoneham interchange, 2 of the lane signs have become damaged, and 1 directional sign has become damaged and obscured by vegetation. These signs around junction 5 have all been assessed by Hampshire Highways and I have been informed these signs belong to National Highways for repair. These issues have been present for over a year.

What3Words: ///parade.miss.august The blue arrow sign, pointing towards the westbound entry slip, has broken in half, one of the posts has fallen and is now covered in overgrown vegetation.

///waving.limes.dwell The white 3 lane sign has had the bottom section of sign fall off the posts and is sat on the ground.

///cooks.hangs.finishing Another white 3 lane sign has had the bottom section of sign fall off the posts and is also sat on the ground.

If any work is needed, they will arrange for this to happen. Should no immediate work be required we will continue to monitor this during our regular inspections.

Although we always aim to complete repairs as quickly as possible, timescales do vary as we try to minimise disruption to customers by combining activities into single closures and always ensuring the safety of our people.
