Missing Sliproads

Reported via desktop in the Structures (eg bridges, fencing, noise barriers) (NH) category anonymously at 12:17, Mon 7 July 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7820762.

Junction 4 Southbound slip roads are missing forcing all traffic wishing to join and leave M56 southbound from Wythenshawe to go up and down the narrow residential road of Selstead Road and use junction 5 instead.

This includes HGV's vans, busses, and LGV's. This is causing serious congestion, bottle necks and unnecessary noise in what should be a quiet residential street. All this traffic should be using Simonsway since Simonsway is a major arterial road.

Space at junction 4 Simonsway has been reserved for these missing slip roads and traffic lights have been installed. Therefore building these missing slip roads will not be too expensive.

Please complete the job and make everyone's lives better.

Thank you
