There is a sign saying Services that leads into a Starbucks, Greggs and BP but

Reported via mobile in the Other Disability Access Issue (NH) category anonymously at 14:53, Sun 29 June 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7781122.

To use the toilet in Starbucks you have to make a purchase. This is not offering services. I then had to walk to filthy toilets in BP of which only one was accessible. The area outside Starbucks is filthy and covered in litter. I would suggest a visit to these ‘services’ as I do not think they should be labelled as services when you have to make a purchase. McDonald’s along the highways are not advertised as services and you know that you should make a purchase to use their facilities.

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways.

Unfortunately we have no say in the services provided provide and poor facilities should be reported to the business owner.

The signage is provided for information to drivers to make them aware of the approaching services for a variety of reasons but not to advertise the facilities.

    Kind regards National Highways
