M5 bridge fence very low - risk to life

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7745123.

The M5 fencing on the bridge is very low at adult hip height & i witnessed a situation where a horse rider could have easily fell over the bridge onto the m5. The willand m5 motorway bridge is extremely high up , alot higher than the average bridge. There is high risk for pedestrians, cyclists & horse riders.

    The parapets on Willand Overbridge are a standard height of 1m high. It is normal policy to install parapets of this height unless there is an identified equestrian i.e bridleway or cycle path across the structure.
