Grass cut - when is litter pick?

Hi, There has been a grass cut of the hard shoulder along the A1 between Darlington and Washington on the A1. The grass has been really effectively removed however all the litter hidden in the grass is still there. When is the proceeding litter pick because it was last done in October and therefore if done twice a year, about now would make sense? Since the grass has been cut it is easy to get. Also I wondered how the grass was so effectively removed, yet all of the litter is still there? THanks

    Litter is planned to be picked in July for the central reservation and the nearside programmed across the coming months. We will review litter in reported sections and raise reactive jobs with our contractors if required.
