Japanese knot wood
Reported via mobile in the Overgrown or obscuring view (NH) category anonymously at 18:02, Friday 13 June 2025
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7706661.
I understand you own the land between the bottom of the garden of 16 Howard Crescent WF4 3AH and the motorway. On a couple of occasions I have reported trees overgrowing our garage and overgrown vegetation which is spreading into our garden. As yet nothing has been done regarding these matters. We have now noticed what we think is Japanese knot weed growing on the land behind the garage. Could you please come and treat this as urgent as possible as I understand this can cause serious damage to our property.
Thank you
Gillian Roberts

Thank you for making your report. We have asked our inspection team to attend this location and assess the issue.
A visit was made 17 June 2025 and overhanging vegetation and what appears to be Japanese knotweed was identified. A 28 day priority job to cut the overhanging branches/vegetation back from the garage and fence and to treat the knotweed has been raised. This may however be delayed due to bird nesting season
Kind regards
