Jubilee Way

Reported via desktop in the Abandoned Materials (NH) category by Andy Cheeseman at 11:51, Wednesday 11 June 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7693374.

From the start of Jubilee way at the docks to the top at the roundabout, we have temporary singes and cones and mess everywhere? left over materials from unchecked works? remaining shuttering materials from unchecked works? no sweeping of cleaning ever?

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways regarding the redundant traffic management equipment and street cleaning.

We will arrange for one of our team to investigate this. Where we identify redundant equipment that is no longer required, these will be removed at the earliest and safest opportunity. However, in some cases some items and resources may be left to support ad-hoc traffic management at the Port of Dover as and when it's required.

While we’re responsible for litter clearance on motorways, under the terms of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 , the responsibility for litter clearance on ‘A’ roads including the A2 along Jubilee Way lies with the relevant local authorities to conduct litter picks and street sweeping. Please contact the relevant local authority to discuss this matter further. Contact details for local authorities can be found by using the search facility at: www.gov.uk/find-local-council

    Kind regards
