Light sequences incorrect

Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 08:22, Wed 11 June 2025

Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7691855.

The sequencing of the lights creates a large build of traffic, especially in the morning, on the B3108 coming from Bradford on Avon. This causes issues back through and under the railway bridge & the turning to freshford which causes near misses. Often there are no cars travelling on the A36 and no standing traffic therefore I believe the sequences could be longer to allow more cars to come through on each turn of the lights from the B3108

Updates

  • Thank you for contacting National Highways.

The information you provided around the operation of the traffic lights has been passed to our technical team to review our data.

We aim to keep the traffic flowing as smoothly as possible for all directions and recognise that on occasions we might need to make changes.

If we find that any changes are due here, we'll undertake those once we've established a suitable solution.

    Kind regards

    National Highways
