Out of Phase
Reported via mobile in the Traffic lights (NH) category anonymously at 07:58, Wed 11 June 2025
Sent to National Highways less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7691755.
The traffic lights on the roundabout appear to be out of phase - causing long queues on M271 whatever the time of day. All 3 sets going eastbound used to go green in succession but currently the set governing traffic coming from Romsey is red causing queuing all round the roundabout and often the queues on the roundabout block entry from the M271 Soton exit so only a few vehicles can get on the roundabout and are frequently stationary during the green phase

These lights are still not phased properly, you have lights that go green but you unable to move because the next set are on red still and the traffic in front has not moved. This is causing unnecessary long delays on the northbound m271 , queue is frequently tailed back half way down the motorway.
